1992年ロサンゼルス暴動：背景と影響

1992年4月末から5月初頭にかけて、アメリカ合衆国のロサンゼルスで発生した大規模な暴動は、現代アメリカ史における人種間対立の深刻さを象徴する出来事として知られています。この騒乱は、司法制度への不信感と長年にわたる人種間の緊張が複合的に重なり、爆発したものです。

背景と直接の引き金

暴動の直接的なきっかけは、1991年3月3日に発生したロドニー・キング事件です。黒人男性ロドニー・キングが警察官から暴行を受けた様子がビデオ撮影され、全米で大きな議論を呼びました。しかし、1992年4月29日、暴行に関与した4人の警察官に対して無罪判決が下されると、この司法判断に激怒した市民による抗議活動が瞬く間に暴動へと発展しました。
